Each week I review and grade all the new releases onto DVD. I also say if it's worth the time or money to bother with it.

Early Reviews

Sherlock Holmes - A
Guy Ritchie and Robert Downey Jr. take the classic story of Sherlock Holmes and give it some attitude. Downey shows why he is one of the best actors of this generation giving some style to the great detective. Jude Law gives a fun and adventurous rendition of Dr. Watson. The directing is great as is the writing. This is definitely a must-see, as will be its inevitable sequel.

Avatar - A+
Avatar
is
one of the few movies big budget action movies that actually lives up to its hype and expectations. While the story isn't exactly original, the visuals are absolutely stunning as it takes 3-D to a whole new level. This movie must be seen in 3-D, as waiting until it hits DVD will just be doing it an injustice. James Cameron proves that this was worth the 10 year wait (as he wrote the script just after Titanic). This will probably go down as the highest grossing movie of all-time, and it's worth every penny.

Rating Key

Gotta Own = A movie you could watch multiple times and that you should add to your collection.

Gotta Rent = A decent enough movie that's worth the time and money to watch, but probably only once.

Wait For It = Wait until it's free on TV or Online to watch, but don't pay for it.

Don't Bother = So bad you shouldn't waste your time even if it IS free.
